UK Construction Sector Output October 2020

The most accurate measure of how the UK construction sector is performing amidst the COVID-19 pandemic was published yesterday by the Office for National Statistics.

After the record drop of 41.2% in April, there has been 6 months of consecutive growth, with construction of private new housing being the main contributor.

Although figures show the rate of growth is slowing down as we approach the end of 2020, there is confidence in Economic Outlooks the sector will continue to grow with approved vaccines against COVID-19, raising hopes that national restrictions will be lifted in spring/summer 2021, which will boost activity and productivity levels.
